Why is my transaction taking longer than expected?

The network may be busy, a provider may be slow, or confirmation may still be arriving. If Trenchy says it is still checking, wait for that result rather than repeatedly tapping Confirm.

If the status is still unclear after at least one minute, refresh Trenchy and recheck the transaction on Solscan. If it shows Failed, or Trenchy confirms the transaction has expired, request a fresh quote and try again. If it is still pending or not found, keep checking before placing another trade; one minute alone does not establish failure.

My trade failed or expired. What should I do?

Read the displayed reason and check whether a transaction was submitted. Once failure or expiry is established:

  • Price moved beyond tolerance: request a fresh quote or try a smaller trade.
  • Insufficient SOL: leave enough for the trade and its costs, including token-account setup where needed.
  • Network congestion: review your priority fee before requesting another quote. Paying more does not guarantee success.
  • Pool or provider unavailable: wait and try again later.

Only change slippage when the error points to it and you accept the extra price movement. Repeated attempts can each incur network costs; there is no guaranteed number of retries that will succeed.

How do I find my transaction or its signature?

A transaction signature is the public identifier for a Solana transaction. Open the explorer link shown by Trenchy, or use HQ → Manage Wallet → View on Solscan to inspect your active wallet’s activity. You can also search the signature on Solscan.

Match the wallet, token, amount, and time to the action you are checking. Your wallet address and a transaction signature are different identifiers. Neither requires revealing your private key.

Can I cancel or reverse a trade?

You can choose not to confirm a quote that has not been submitted. Review your settings: with Trade Confirm: Off, eligible quotes may submit automatically.

Closing a bot message does not cancel an already submitted transaction. Trenchy cannot reverse a confirmed blockchain transaction, including a trade for the wrong token or a transfer to the wrong address.

Trenchy says “Trade Successful,” but some amounts are still missing.

Confirmation can arrive before the final receipt and position details. Give the panel time to update, then refresh the position or wallet. Do not repeat a successful trade just because an amount temporarily shows …. If it persists, share the transaction signature with support.

How does my maximum slippage setting work?

Your Buy / Sell Slippage setting is your maximum accepted tolerance, and Max Slippage on the confirmation displays that cap. Trenchy tries to choose a tighter effective tolerance within it using supported providers’ estimates for the current quote, route, and trade size. The tighter internal value is not displayed on the confirmation. When estimation is unavailable, it can use your configured maximum.

A tighter tolerance aims to reduce unnecessary MEV (maximal extractable value) exposure—where other participants profit from transaction ordering—but does not guarantee execution or complete protection. Price impact is a separate measure of how much your trade moves the pool price. Slippage and priority fees explained.

What if estimated slippage exceeds my maximum?

The warning may read “Est. slippage is …, above your … maximum.” This is a quote advisory, not proof that a transaction failed on-chain. Trenchy will not silently raise your cap. Try a smaller trade, use Increase slippage to edit the relevant buy or sell maximum, or review it in Settings. A provider estimate above the cap is not proof that a trade at your cap would fail. Increase your tolerance only if you accept the worse possible execution result.

Why is there no route, or why is my trade too large?

There may not be enough liquidity for the amount, the amount may be too small to execute economically, or the token may have restrictions or unsupported trading routes.

Check the token mint address, try a smaller amount for an oversized trade, or wait for liquidity. Raising slippage does not create liquidity or remove token restrictions. A token appearing in a report does not guarantee it can be bought or sold.

Why do MC, Position Value, and my sell quote differ?

MC estimates the token’s market size. Position Value estimates your holdings at an available market price; it is not a full-balance exit quote. A sell quote estimates what the requested trade could return after route and liquidity effects. The actual result is established only after a transaction is confirmed on-chain.

Why didn't Refresh change MC?

Refresh can reuse a recent cached observation, and a supported source may have no newer usable value. An unavailable MC is unknown, not zero. Different report fields can also come from different observations.

Why do I need SOL when I am selling tokens?

Solana network fees are paid in SOL. Owning tokens does not guarantee you have enough SOL to submit a sell. Follow the balance recommendation shown by Trenchy, reduce a buy amount, or deposit SOL into your active wallet. There is no single reserve that covers every trade.

Why does the total cost look higher than the 1% trading fee?

Trenchy’s 1% trading fee is one part of the cost. Network priority and sender fees, token-account setup or rent, and any applicable token transfer fees can affect the result. Review Est. total fees, the quoted amounts, and any warnings before confirming. Fees explains Trenchy’s charges.

An on-chain transaction that fails can still incur a network fee. A quote that fails before submission is different from a transaction executed with an error on-chain.

Why did I receive less than expected, or start with negative PnL?

Compare the confirmed transaction with the quote, allowing for fees, price movement, and any token transfer fees. Slippage tolerance permits a worse result within its limit; it is not itself an extra fee.

A new position can show negative PnL because of trading costs and price movement. Displayed balances or receipts may also need time to update. How position PnL works.

IssueWhat it means / what to do
Not enough tokens / balance changedYour available holding differs from the quote. If Trenchy says Position synced, it detected a balance change outside Trenchy. Reopen or refresh the position, check your balance, then choose a new sell amount.
Slippage settings changedRequest and review a new quote using your current maximum. An older quote cannot override it.
Quote updated / minimum received changedReview the new amounts and confirm again. A refreshed quote cannot silently weaken the minimum output you approved.
Quote expired / updated / no longer activePrices and routes change. Request a new quote, or review the refreshed one, and confirm the new details.
High price impact / high cost warningThe trade may move the pool price substantially, or fees may be large relative to its value. Review the amounts and costs; reduce the amount for price impact, or cancel if the result is unacceptable.
Pool busy / quote unavailable / network provider issueA service or pool could not process the request. Wait briefly, then request a fresh quote. If a transaction was already sent, check it before retrying.
Token account setup failed / on-chain failureRead the displayed reason and check the transaction. Check SOL available for fees and account setup; only adjust slippage if the error points to it. A failed on-chain transaction can still cost a network fee.
Invalid token / amountSend the Solana token contract address and a valid positive SOL amount or sell percentage, within the limits shown by the bot.
No active wallet / wallet changedOpen HQ → Manage Wallet to create or recover a wallet. If you switched wallets, return to the trade panel and request a quote for the active wallet.
Transaction was not signed correctlyCheck whether a transaction was submitted before retrying. If the error persists, contact support; never send your key or login code.
Confirmation already in progressWait for the existing request and check its status. Repeated confirmation taps are not needed.

Ask in Trenchy’s Lounge. Include the action you attempted, the error text, and the transaction signature if available. Remove unrelated personal details from screenshots. Never share a private key, seed phrase, or Telegram login code.
